Calling all sports fans! With the launch of the WNVA soon upon us, there are still a few things we need to do before it begins. Finding homes for the 8 teams representing the WNVA is at the top of our list. To do that, we are reaching out to fans in a national campaign to help us make those decisions.
We are asking YOU, the fans, to put together entertaining video campaigns telling us why your city deserves to be home to one of the WNVA teams. These campaigns should be 90 second videos that tell us who you are, where you’re from, and why your town is the ideal location to host a WNVA team. Remember to make the videos entertaining! Have fun and feel free to think outside of the box.
All submissions will be screened and considered, no matter the city. We are looking for places where fans are passionate and not afraid to show support for their home team. This is your opportunity to become a part of this monumental event. The best submissions will be posted on the WNVA website and the winning cities will be revealed on the WNVA’s reality show. The makers of the winning videos will be featured guests with their team on opening night.
Help your city win the bid to host a team in the newest professional sports league in America! So submit your videos and JOIN THE REVOLUTION!!!

TORONTOOOO!!!!!!! don’t exclude canada, we are crazy at volleyball too!!!!!!!
MIAMI!!!!! FIU has a great volleyball team as does UM, and there is a big fan base down here! I think it would be a good thing to have!
HONOLULU!!!!! theres no need for a video…just look at the attendence for the university of hawaii womens volleyball games!
Look no further than San Antonio, Texas. We have great venues and we love our volleybal!! There are 2 miilion people in this 7th largest city in the country. Tell us what we need to do!!
Honolulu, HI. The University of Hawaii Rainbow Wahine Volleyball team leads the country in attendance since the Stan Sheriff Center opened in 1994 and continues to be the attendance leader every year, we love volleyball. There is no other place in the country where the athletes are treated like celebrities. The crowds are very knowledgeable in volleyball, and they cheer for both home team and visiting team when there are long rallies. Honolulu would love to be a part of that with a professional women’s team!!!!!!
Please consider Honolulu, Hawaii as one of those cities for a professional womens volleyball team. The fans know and love the game, and are appreciative of good volleyball. This sport is a religion here.
Obviously, Hawaii, Lincoln, Seattle, Minneapolis, and Chicago would be great choies. I feel like Texas and California need at least one team each – Florida too.
CHICAGO PLEASE!! so the midwest can see some great volleyball.
would think the smartest city locations are those with the top attendance average for NCAA teams…
2009 National Attendance
School Avg.
1. Hawai’i 6,423
2. Nebraska 4,959
3. Wisconsin 4,000
4. Minnesota 3,816
5. Washington 3,363
6. Penn State 3,291
7. Texas 3,035
8. Wichita State 2,892
9. Iowa State 2,734
10. Florida 2,606
(Hawaii might be tough due to travel expenses however…) Being as I am from Chicago I would love to see a team there, but I also remember when they tried that for the USPV back in 2001 or so the attendance was shocking low
Kansas City!!!
I would love to see a team in Indianapolis, Louisville, or Chicago.
CHICAGO needs a team, there are lots of great volleyball players here!
Atlanta loves Volleyball. How about for some of the tryouts they film them at some of the Junior Qualifiers? That would be a blast, plenty of young players would be on hand to watch between matches……..
James is right when it comes to Atlanta…Junior Nationals is huge here. As far as the centralize location as well as one of the largest airports in the US, Atlanta is prime for this league.
When is the deadline for this 90 second video?
Atlanta would be my nomination!!!
WASHINGTON!!!
