This week marks the first week of honoring our fans here at the Women’s National Volleyball Association.  As of October 3rd, that’s 10,943 potential members to consider. Starting this month, two new fans will be selected to receive a prize of 100 dollars and a WNVA t-shirt every month.  This is our way of saying thanks to you…the fans, for all of your support in helping us get the word out.

As we enter a new month, our goal for this fan drive remains the same; To to unite the volleyball fans in this country, for the common dream of successfully  bringing professional volleyball and our athletes who play the game, back to the United States.  We have a long ways to go in reaching all of the fans, but as the saying goes, ” Alone we can do so little; together we can do so much.”  Each one of us knows someone who loves this game who isn’t a fan yet. In this next month, let’s make it our priority to get other volleyball fans to become fans of the WNVA.  Together we can make an impact that will not soon be forgotten.

Because we have increased 800 fans, it’s been another week of promising growth.  Dallas’ fan count increased the most out of all the cities this week, but it was Houston’s fans that broke the ongoing reign of the top four cities.   Chicago’s fans are still in first place. Austin’s fan count is still number two and Dallas’s fans are still number three. But Houston’s fans have now past Los Angeles’ fans, taking over the number four sport as Los Angeles’ fans drop to number five.  Atlanta and Seattle’s fans both held steady this week in sixth and seventh place, while San Antonio moved up to eighth place.  Kansas City dropped to the ninth spot as New York moved back into the top ten.  New York shares the final spot in a tie with the fans of St. Louis.  Madison dropped out of the top ten this week. The cities on the bubble are Madison, Phoenix, Wichita, Irvine and San Diego.

In addition to our promising growth, two of our fans have another reason to celebrate this week.  Our first fan prize winners are Nicole Wilson of Lake Charles, Louisiana and Steve Garrison of Arlington Texas.  Nicole and Steve check your facebook mail and call the number to claim your prize.  Thanks to everyone for becoming fans and continue to help us spread the word.  Remember to use our Facebook Welcome Page to invite your friends and other volleyball lovers to become our fans.  Together we can do anything if we stick to it long enough. Thanks again for joining the revolution!
