Because our fans are a key element to helping us build a lasting professional sport association, last month, we began to build the foundation to show appreciation to them. This month, we continue to build on that, and we congratulate this month’s fan prize-winners Nancy Zschau and Stephen Nguyen. The prizes of $100 dollars and a WNVA t-shirt is our way of saying thanks for supporting us in this pre launch phase.

This announcement comes off the heels of another eventful week among the top cities leading the fan count. Chicago’s fans once again sit atop the leader board after dropping to second place for two weeks. Dallas fans moved up one place and are in second place. Austin’s fans have dropped to third and are now followed by the fourth place fans New York City. Houston fans are now in fifth while Los Angeles fans fell to sixth place. Atlanta fans remained steady and held on to seventh place. The fourth Texas city in the top ten is San Antonio. The Alamo City moved up two spots and is now in eighth place. St. Louis’ fans held on and are still in the top ten. They are in the ninth spot while Seattle dropped two spots to round out the top ten.

Over the last 4 months, the goal of the WNVA has always been to unite volleyball fans in the United States and to build a solid fan base for the WNVA. We have since begun to form community action groups to further develop the growth and the foundation of the WNVA in cities all across the country. This is just another step we are taking to increase the public’s awareness and to get the word out to volleyball fans across the country. If you would like to be involved in growing the fan numbers in your city, send your email address, phone number and the major city to which you are closest, to communitygrowth@thewnva.com. Remember to continue to invite others to become our fans on facebook. The easiest way to do this is to visit our “Facebook Welcome Page” and invite your friends to join. We appreciate everyone’s support and thanks for helping us build a strong foundation and thanks for joining the revolution.
